Come to me, I'll take your burden...Come to me, I'll give you rest...
Welcome to the May Diva Inspirations Blog Hop! I'm excited to show you my project today. I picked up this frame at the Target Dollar Spot a while back, and I knew I wanted to do something fun with it for this month's hop.

It's a tiny little space...the inside is only about 3.5" square. I cut a piece of Rustic Cream cardstock and layered on a pattern from Basic Grey's Curio collection. The Matthew 11:28 Plain Jane is stamped in Early Espresso onto Rustic cream, and the edges were distressed a bit. Some bling from Zva Creative and Seam binding finished it off! Here's a closer look at the details:

In May we're featuring the sentiment set, Dare to Be. With 5 uplifting and encouraging sentiments, this set is perfect for graduation, congratulations or just a little pick me up. Or pair it with the To the Moon, Chicks Rule or Lucky Ducky sets for perfect little love notes to tuck into a lunchbox.

All around hope is springing up from this old ground...out of chaos, life is being found in You...
Welcome to the Verve's April Diva Inspirations Blog Hop! The fabulous Diva Inspirations team is here to start your month off right with a little Verve inspiration!
I used this week's Mojo Monday sketch as my jumping off point. I love making round cards, so I decided to use my Grand Circle Nestabilities to create my card base and layers.

I stamped polka dots from Bountiful Backgrounds on the Blush Blossom circle in Cameo Coral, then sponged and distressed the edges. I decided the circle background needed a little something extra, so I cut a smaller circle out of vellum and embossed it with the Kassie's Brocade embossing folder. I stitched it to the coral piece, then matted that onto a Kraft scalloped circle card base.
The main image panel is one of my favorite verses, which happens to be the stamp set name, Jeremiah 29:11. I stamped it in Versamark ink and embossed it in black. After cutting the panel out with my Labels 17 Nestabilities, I sponged the edges with Baja Breeze ink, matted it with a hand-cut black piece, then added some glitter. Some Zva Creative bling came next, then I popped the main image up with foam dimensionals.

Baja Breeze Seam Binding was perfect for a little bow across the top, and I added a Soft Sky banner strip across the bottom. The finishing touch is a resin flower I made, dyed with Copic Ink refills to match.
I hope you enjoyed my card...I know the rest of the Divas have some breathtaking eye candy for you! Check out their fabulous blogs listed below and you just might win some Vervey goodness of your very own!
And there's one more little announcement before you go. It's a bittersweet one for Verve. Our own fabulous Diva Michelle has flown the nest to spread her wings on the Spellbinders Design Team. We have cherished her fabulous personality, her beautiful designs and her amazing talent the past few years and she will be sorely missed, but we're excited to see what lies ahead for her. If you have a chance, hop on over to her blog, Stop and Stamp the Roses, and let her know how inspiring her work for Verve has been! She posted a fabulous little walk down memory lane tribute to Verve this past week and it's filled with eye candy that's sure to inspire!

Here's the card I created, using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch for this week and Heather's Totally Hues color challenge #2.
I've been wanting to use the Sweet Treats set, so I pulled it out along with the coordinating Classy Label Die. The sentiment is from Birthday Bash. Here's a close-up:
A couple of disclaimers...my camera HATES Melon Mambo cardstock. I'll try to get a better pic in the sun tomorrow. But I promise it's not as scary as it looks! *grin* Also, the little resin rose (isn't it cute?!) is white. I promise, it really is. But since it's transparent, I think, well, I have no idea why it looks yellow. Just trust me.
ETA: Here's a pic with indirect sun...PERFECT!! So sorry for the other one!
Anywho, here's the list...don't forget to leave some love for all the girls! Next up is Sony, and I'm sure she has something GORGEOUS to show you!

All men (Watu wote)...All creatures (Viumbe vyote)...Everybody (Awaye yote)...Praise the Lord (Sifu mungu)...
Good morning, y'all! I'm back with some more creations...yep! I'm on a roll! Today is the Verve release, and we're showing you some previews of the new set Text Objects. I love this set! As you can see...I couldn't stop at one card. *grin* So let's go, are you ready?

The first card I created is a pretty straightforward, clean and simple design. I stamped the Winnie the Pooh quote on the Kraft base layer, then added the larger coordinating sentiment on the cream panel I cut with my Vintage Oval Die. Here's a closer look:

The next card I created uses the Gandhi quote background strip & larger sentiment.

I also layered some lace, ribbon, and a couple of paper pieced hearts from the same set. Yep! There are a few images in this fabulous set to coordinate with the sentiments. Wait till you see!!
Here's a closer look at the sentiment panel and other details:

Thanks for stopping by to see me today! Don't forget to check out the Diva blogs below for some peeks at Text Objects, a new set releasing tonight! One lucky commenter on one of the stops along today's hop will win this set, so be sure to leave a little love! Deadline for comments is Friday, December 3 at 8PM Eastern.

Happy Birthday, VERVE!!

Welcome to the Anni-VERVE-sary Blog Hop! I can't believe that the very first Verve release was three years ago. It seems like so long ago, but not...know what I mean? It has been such a blessing to be on this adventure with Julee, and I am so honored to continue to be a part of Verve. So proud of you, Julee!!! *hugs*
Anywho, if you've already been hopping along, you arrived here from Vera's blog. If not, head on over to Julee's Blog (owner of Verve), for all the info on how to win prizes (after all, what's a party without presents?), and to start hopping from the beginning. If there's a hiccup along the hop, you can always head to the Master Hop List to get the full list of links.
Now, on to my project! I decided to use two of my very favorite Verve sets: Fluttering By and Petals & Stems. I found this frame on sale at Michael's the other day, and I thought it would be fun to jazz it up a bit.
I pulled the colors from the DeLovely papers from Cosmo Cricket, and finally used some of my Webster's Pages trim that I've been hoarding. *wink* The flowers and butterflies got a healthy coat of Glamour Dust and Glossy Accents...love the shimmer! Here's a detail shot:

I hope you liked my Anni-VERVE-sary project! I have something fun for you...can you say FREE STAMPS?? That's right, just leave a comment on this post for a chance to win Fluttering By AND Petals & Stems FREE! Leave a comment by 11:59 pm on August 4th and I'll announce the winner on August 5th!
To share our joy with you, Julee decided to have an Anni-VERVE-sary sale that runs August 1-14. You'll get 30% off all Year 1 Sets, 20% off all Year 2 sets and 10% off all Year 3 sets. WOOOHOO!!
Thanks for hopping by! Now it's time to hop on over to SUSAN'S BLOG, for a little more Verve-y goodness. Have a fabulous day!

Here's the birthday card I created for Julee:

And I'll glady stand up next to you and defend her still, today...'cause there ain't no doubt, I love this land...
Good morning, y'all! Verve Stamps just released 3 new sets and the Divas are celebrating with a new release hop today! First, a little housekeeping… if you clicked over from Amy’s blog, then you’re right on track. If not, then head on over to Julee’s blog, to start from the beginning. If the chain gets broken along the way, you can head over the Verve Blog for the full link list. Oh, and we’ve hidden a little prize for one lucky commenter along the hop, so be sure to spread a little comment love around as you hop! Okay, well, maybe it’s not so little. *wink* You could win the entire release, so what are you waiting for?!
I love the American Hero set that Julee created...what a great way to celebrate those that have sacrificed for our freedom. I wanted to make a clean and simple card, and I thought that this polka dot paper from Jillibean Soup was a perfect compliment to this set.
It's pretty self explanatory, so I'll let you mosey on along to AMBER's blog! Have a fabulous Saturday!

But you taught me how to trust myself, and so I say to you...this is what I have to do...
Hey, y'all! Welcome to the first ever Anni-VERVE-sary Blog Hop. Verve turns two today, and we're celebrating with a hop, hop, hop! The party kicked off over on the Verve Blog, so if you've just happened along, be sure to hop on over there to start at the beginning! And to make sure this party is a real shindig, there's a mystery jackpot hidden at one of the stops along the hop. One lucky commenter will win Verve's entire August release! But of course, it wouldn't be a mystery if you knew which blog, would it? So if you're feeling the love, give a little shout out to the bloggers in the hop and you just might have a reason to jump for joy!In addition to some eye candy, I have a super secret preview of some images from the August release. Are you ready?
Yep, that's some brand-spankin' new Verve on that card! To kick-start my mojo, I used Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge to get me going, but I kinda switched it around a little. Aren't you shocked? *wink* I am going to keep you in suspense as to the details of the sets, but I used Enjoy, To Risk, and Bountiful Backgrounds. You can look for them on August 14th!
Now, it's late, and I know you have lots of hopping to do, so I'm gonna keep this short and sweet. You're so awesome for stopping by to see me today! Now it's time to hop on over to Bethany's blog for some more Vervalicious eye candy! Have a fabulous day!
