I called my momma, she was out for a walk...consoled a cup of coffee but it didn't wanna talk...

Happy Wednesday, blog friends! I hope your week has been great so far. Today is a fun day...it's a My Favorite Things Blog Hop! If you haven't come to me from Paula's blog, then you need to start at the beginning! {Click here} to get to Kim's Blog, which is where the fun begins. Are you ready? Let's go!

I have the most fun card to share with you today...I had a blast making it! I'm not only showing you a new set called Maid for You, but I'm also showing you some of the new digi-papers available from My Favorite Things! Check it out:
How fun is this?! I have been begging Kim for this image after seeing it on Christy's website, and my wish finally came true! Not only that, but they have cooked up the sassiest sentiments to go with it.

To create this card, I stamped the main image in Brilliance Graphite Black on the Summer Striped paper, then again on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White. I colored the image, and then I paper pieced the background to make wallpaper out of the stripes. Liquid Applique was added to the bottom of her skirt for fun. *grin*

The card base is another one of the digi-paper designs in the Summer pack...isn't it the cutest? I wrapped some red grosgrain ribbon around the card base, threaded through a small slit in the main image. Then I added the sentiment at the bottom. Very simple...I wanted the image to be front and center! I hope you like it.

Now it's time to head over to Susan's blog to see more goodies! I know she won't disappoint!

My Favorite Things is having a New Release Cocktail Party on Wednesday, January 7th from 9-10 p.m. Eastern time. This month there are FOUR new sets being released!

Head over to the MFT forum to find out all the details and to find out how YOU can be the next MFT Guest Designer. We hope to see you there on Wednesday night!

That's all they really want, is some fun, when the working day is done...

Happy Tuesday, people! Today I have a fabulous MFTeaser ready for you!

The set I'm previewing is called Tote-ally Fantastic!...an appropriately so! I loveee this set...who doesn't love purses?? Here's my project:

I used the image from Tote-ally Fantastic to create a little gift tote. After stamping her in Brilliance Graphite Black on Watercolor paper, I paper pieced her outfit and watercolored the rest of the image. The sentiment (my favorite from the set!) was embossed with white embossing powder. I love how this turned out!

It's the end of the world as we know it....

Hey yall! Are you having fun blog hopping? I hope so!

Tonight I have two new Annie LaPoint images to show you. These are from the new MFT Presents line from My Favorite Things, and can be found HERE, at 11:00 CENTRAL!

The first is Wind Down, and I created a card and a candle for this one...
And here's a close-up of the card...
Funny enough, the colors I used on the candle are the same as the ones I used to color the image on the card. Weird, huh?
And here's a little shabby chic oval number I created using Scented Geranium:
Now that you've enjoyed my projects, the next stop is Amber's blog HERE. If you've just started with us, you can start HERE and move on to see all the awesome projects!

Don't forget...My Favorite Things is having a New Release Cocktail Party on Wednesday, November 5th from 9-11 p.m. Eastern time. This month there are FIVE new sets being released, including THE must have Who's That Girl set of the year!

Head over to the MFT Forum to find out all the details and to find out how YOU can be the next MFT Guest Designer. See you there on Wednesday night!

Do you count the flakes when it snows...

Thanks for all the love the past few days...I love my PSF's! I have something fun for you today...not only is it an MFTeaser, but it's a sneak peek at one of my next Copic Classes at Stamp Asylum. Fun, huh?

This image is from a new stamp from Stephanie Fizer called A Scarf for Three. I love love love this image! It was the first one I inked up and colored from this release...which can I say...I am so excited for you to see! I love what Kim has picked this go-round....so fun!! You'll be able to order it all on Wednesday, October 1st, so make sure you check it out!

This is a pretty simple card...I wanted the image to take center stage. Take a peek and tell me what you think:
Do you lovey??? I hope so! I stamped the image in Brilliance Graphite Black ink and then colored it with Copic Markers. I trimmed it to the image (there is a border that I cut off) and matted it with black and red cardstock. After embossing the top part of the card base with the Snowflakes folder, I added a scalloped black strip and some ribbon wrapped around. To finish it off, I added the image on dimensionals and the sentiment, as well as Liquid Applique for the earmuffs and hat. Love that stuff!

Don't forget.....
My Favorite Things is having a New Release Cocktail Party this Wednesday, October 1 from 9-11 p.m. Eastern time. This month there are SIX new sets being released, plus a new storage system for your MFT stamps that you are gonna love! Head over to the MFT forum to find out all the details and to find out how YOU can be the next MFT Guest Designer. We hope to see you there on Wednesday night!

Cream colored ponies and crisp apple streudels...Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles..

Good Morning, yall! Before I get to chatting, I want to say thank you to everyone who left a comment or emailed me yesterday...yall are so sweet! Big MWAH's all around! If you haven't seen it yet, don't forget to enter my Bella Blog Candy on THIS POST.

I have a couple of cards to show you today using the new Annie LaPoint images that will be available tonight from My Favorite Things. These are single stamps, and they have to be some of my favorite images!

I had this layout idea in my head, and I thought it would be good for a simple little card set. I stamped the Rosemary and Chill Out images onto Georgia Pacific White Cardstock in Brilliance Graphite Black ink. After coloring the images with Copic Markers, I cut them out with my oval Nestabilities and cut a scalloped mat out of my Prism Suede Brown Dark cardstock.

The green and pink background panels measure 3 1/4 x 4 1/4, and I embossed them with the Swiss Dots embossing folder, then distressed the edges and stitched around the edges with my sewing machine. Mount that onto my white card base, and pop the main image up for a little extra dimension and you have a quick and easy card duo with lots of texture.
I hope you like these...I had fun making them! I'm off to work, so don't forget to join us at the New Release Cocktail Party on Wednesday, Sept. 3 from 9-11 p.m. Eastern time. This month there are SIX new sets being released, plus one from a new line at MFT: BCDzyns. It's sooooooo cute...you will love it!!!

*The Girl Who Wants It All special for the The September Collection, which is one of each set being released, except for the BCDzyns set, is $58.95.

Head over to the MFT forum to find out all the details and to find out how YOU can be the next MFT Guest Designer. Have a fabulous day, and I'll see you tonight!

Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't...

I bet you thought I forgot all about the My Favorite Things release this month, huh? Nope, and you better not either! The release party is tonight at 9 PM Eastern in the MFT Forum, so meet me there, k?

On with the show! Here are a couple of projects I created last night after the boys were tucked into bed. I knew I wanted to use the Monster Squad set (from new illustrator Stephanie Fizer) for a little treat bag, but looking around the casa, there was nothing to use as a treat bag! That is, until my eyes fell onto my buttons. Or shall I say, the bag that USED to contain my buttons. Now it's packed full of yummies!

Then I decided to make a card using the Totally Witchin' set with Cindy's MFT Sketch for this week. When I colored this image, I had Elphaba and Glinda in mind from Wicked, can't you tell? You know, cause "black is this year's pink!" *grin*

After I colored the girls, I used my Oval Nestabilities to create some layers, and then used my Cropadile to make some fun holes in the scallops. My favorite part of this set is their boots. So fun!

Don't forget to join us for the New Release Cocktail Party tonight from 9-11 p.m. Eastern time. This month there are FIVE new sets being released and some great new ribbon added to the store. Woo hoo!!! Love ribbon.

*The Girl Who Wants It All special for the The Aug Collection, which is one of each set being released, is $65.

There will also be details on how YOU can become the next MFT Guest Designer - YIPPEE!! Hope to see ya there!

Can you imagine no love, pride, deep-fried chicken...your best friend always sticking up for you, even when I know youre wrong

Hey peeps! Sorry my MFTeaser is so late...it has been crazy busy! Again! I know I keep saying that, and I'm sure you're all feeling the same way. Anywho...

It's time to show you a new set, which will be available from My Favorite Things on Wednesday night after the Cocktail Party in the Forum. The set is called Bunny Slippers, and it's adorable! I don't have a really good Get Well set, so this fits the bill perfectly!

I used Cindy's MFT Sketch for this week. This card measures 5 1/4" square, so that will give you an idea of the size of the image. I used Daisy Bucket Sweet Marabella collection papers with touches of Prism cardstock. I love the bright colors, and the orange and green just look awesome together.

Ok, so housekeeping....I have seen several requests on forums for stampers and bloggers to list the specific colors of Copic markers they use on each project. Sometimes this is just a few, other times it's a big long list, which is why I haven't done it. Is that something you'd like to see? Let me know, ok?

Back to stamps! Don't forget to join us for the MFT Cocktail Release Party HERE on Wednesday, July 2nd from 9-11 p.m. Eastern time. July marks MFT's 2nd birthday, and Kim's 40th, so we'll be celebrating all over the place!

*$2.00 US shipping for orders under $40, and for Intl orders and US orders over $40, they'll receive the same $2.75 discount until July 15th.

*FIRST 50 orders will receive a full sized stickles glitter glue!

*The Girl Who Wants It All special for the July Collection is $49.95.

Can't wait to see you there!!

Like a froggy, ferny cabbage, the baby is unnaturally...GREEN!!!

Sorry...I've been listening to the Wicked soundtrack, and now it's stuck in my head. That and the Indiana Jones theme song, but that one doesn't have words.

I have a couple more MFTeasers to show you today...this time with the Congrats All Around set. This is such a fun set, complete with large circle images that fit in the Marvy punches, and little coordinating images for several occasions. My favorite HAS to be this little "burrito" baby.

I recently picked up some more Versamagic Dew Drops in pastel colors because they work sooooo well with my clear stamps. So I decided on a purple and green color scheme. One of my girlfriends is expecting a baby girl in September and these are her favorite colors, so they were totally inspired by her.

I stamped the "flower" in Spring Pansy on white cardstock, and punched out the center with my 1 1/2" circle punch. Then I punched the flower out with my Mega Scalloped Circle, creating kind of a do-nut. Then I punched a Super Jumbo circle of Plum cardstock, and then a 1 1/4" circle of White. The baby was stamped and colored on a scrap, cut out, and popped up in the center. To finish it off, I popped up the donut flower ring on thicker pop dots, so it sticks up a little bit more than the baby. I really like how it turned out!

Next I decided to make a card for Josh's dad, who just got a new puppy. I got out my Die Cuts with a View Pet Stack and went to work!

This one is pretty straightforward. Again, I used the Marvy Mega & Giga Scalloped Circle Punches, along with a 1 1/2" Circle punch for the inside. I thought the sentiment from the Friends Furever set was the perfect touch!! It is stamped in Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder.

Don't forget to join us tomorrow...there will have some HUGE news to share from My Favorite Things, so stay tuned to the Forum for all the details!

Starry eyes that make me melt, right in front of me...

So...there's more Chicken Pox at my house! After his nap on Saturday, my youngest had a few. Now he has a BUNCH. Poor guy. At least I know and am not telling him it's a heat rash! *sigh*

Ok, before I go further, there's a few housekeeping things I have to tell you.
  • First of all, I'd like to say a big SHOUT OUT to my girl Maren, who not only was the Featured Stamper on Sunday, but is also Unity's Guest Designer for the month of June. YAY MAREN!!!
  • I announced our May/June Guest Designer on the Verve Blog...Natasha Trupp!!! Go leave her some love on her blog!
  • BIG ONE: Kim is giving away an MFTreat! And it's a biggie...the ENTIRE JUNE RELEASE. Sorry, I don't mean to shout. But that's almost $60, people!! Go visit THIS POST on her blog to get entered. K?

Ok, now that's out of the way, here's my MFTeaser for the release this month. This is probably my most favorite release EVER from My Favorite Things, so yall just better be prepared! Oh, and get out your sunglasses, it's kinda bright...

Fun, huh?? I stamped the main image twice on Watercolor paper, and colored the floor and wall on one, and the girl chair on the other. I cut her out and popped her up so there would be a nice little shadow. Love the way that looks, if I do say so myself! *grin*

As usual, My Favorite Things is hosting a New Release Cocktail Party on Wednesday, June 4 from 9-11 p.m. Eastern time. LOTS of fun (and a surprise release - YAY!) is planned including finding out how YOU can be the next MFT Guest Designer. Join us in the MFT Forum for all the details about the party! See you there!

Life with you makes perfect sense...you're my best friend...

Thanks for all the well wishes, guys. I am slowly feeling better. This thing hit me HARD!! I'm still a little woozy, but hey that makes for fun card making, right? *wink*

Here are the MFTeasers I created for last night's Cocktail Party in the Member Forum. The new sets, Gone to the Dogs, Friends Furever, and Going Places are available now, and Setting the Stage is on sale as well! And as always, shipping is free for orders over $40. I love a free shipping offer.

Ok, enough blabbing, here are my cards!
This card was made using the Friends Furever set with my youngest son in mind. He is constantly loving and hugging on our English Mastiffs, which makes for a picture kinda like this one. It's pretty cute!

This card was made with the Gone to the Dogs set. This cute little doggie reminds me of Bailey, who came to live with us since my sister is going to grad school. She's precious! (minus the peeing on the floor......) I used this fabulous Daisy Bucket Southern Belle Collection...so pretty! I also stamped a few extra swirls from Setting the Stage on the DP in brown ink.

The last card I'll show you today is from the Going Places set. This little plane and banner made me immediately think of a little boys birthday card, so I colored the plane red and stamped Happy Birthday (from Sassy Sayings) into the banner. The little accents are from Setting the Stage again, and I layered the panels onto a nice sparkly DCWV paper from the Pet Stack. So fun!

I have another project to share that I teased at the release, but I'll have to do it on another day since this post is already so long. I hope you have a fabulous Thursday!

Oh...and she never gives out, and she never gives in...

Ok, I have searched through my blog and I think I forgot to show you this card from the My Favorite Things release party last week. Bad Shannan! It was made with the new Happy Mother's Day set, and was probably my very favorite of all of the MFTeasers I did this go round.

I know, not the most conventional colors for a Mother's Day card. It started with coloring the image. I picked out the color for the dress because it looks fabulous on my mom. Then I found this polka dot paper that matched, so I just went with it. What do you think, too bright?

Here's a photo of the card with the belly band off. To create the "background" I stamped the sentiment from the Mother's Day set in Tea Stain Ranger Distress ink, then sponged the edges to soften them a bit.

The flower is from the Can Ya Dig It set, and I colored in the petals and center with my White Glaze Pen. I like how it filled in those dreaded spaces. *wink*

I hope you guys are having a great week. Stay tuned tomorrow for some Verve!

Stamps: Mother's Day Set, Can Ya Dig It
Paper: So Saffron, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Really Rust, GP White, Tres Jolie Paper by My Mind's Eye
Ink: Ranger Distress Tea Stain, Brilliance Graphite black

We are the pirates who don't do anything, we just stay home and lie around...

Sorry, all these seed packets made me think of Veggie Tales. We have the "Silly Songs" tape and it cracks me up every time. Anywhooo...

So today is the My Favorite Things release day! Are you excited? I know I am! To celebrate, I decided to make a card using my Can You Dig It? set (available to order tonight) with today's sketch challenge on Splitcoast.

This was a super easy one, and I didn't want to clutter it up, so I left it simple and clean. I really like it! I must be sick lately, all that empty space...*wink*

I hope you'll join the fun tonight in the MFT Member company forum, which can be found -->HERE<--. We will have lots of fun (I *plomise*) and a chance for you to be the next MFT Guest Designer!! Make sure you stop by between 9-11 pm Eastern and say hi!

There's a smile on my face, and a brand new light in my eyes...

How about an MFTeaser this fine Monday afternoon? See...I told you this week was full of them! *wink*

I don't have much to yap about, other than this card was easy and fun to make, and the song I'm listening to right now is awesome. The lyrics are below because I just couldn't resist sharing them. If you haven't heard of Ginny Owens, she's amazing. She writes most of her music, plays the piano, and is blind. Her stuff is awesome.

This card uses images from the new set called Can Ya Dig It, which will be available from My Favorite Things on Wednesday night. We'd love you to join us for the Cocktail Party on Wednesday, April 2 from 9-11 p.m. Eastern time. These always prove to be entertaining at the least...but come prepared to have a blast! We will also tell you how YOU can be the next MFT Guest Designer! You can find all the info HERE.

Call Me Beautiful by Ginny Owens

I've been waiting
For a hero who's brave and strong-
Someone to love me,
Someone to tell me I belong,
So I pretend I'm satisfied,
And I stand watching on the sidelines,
Till You pull me into the light
And say, "It's Your turn now,
Welcome to your life!"

And You call me beautiful,
And say You've loved me all along,
And You've always held the keys to unlock my soul
Oh You call me beautiful

There's a smile on my face,
And a brand new light in my eyes,
It's a new day,
And I've never felt so alive-
I feel as if I could conquer anything,
Oh thats what Your love has done for me,
And now all I want to be,
Is everything You want me to be-

And You call me beautiful,
And say You've loved me all along,
And You've always held the keys
To unlock my soul, But I didn't know-
Now I can finally start to live,
Take those chances I have missed,
Things will be much different,
Now that I know
You call me beautiful

The story is better than I could dream after all,
Now this is reality
To know You and to hear You call me beautiful
Call me beautiful-
Now I can finally start to live,
Take those chances I have missed,
Things will be much different,
Now that I know-
Now that I know
You call me beautiful

Cause I'm a redneck woman, I ain't no high class broad...

It's Monday!! No I'm not that excited about the fact that it's Monday. But I love today because it's MFTeaser day! Wahoo!! There are two sets being released by My Favorite Things this Wednesday: Ride 'em Cowgirl and Punch a Bunch. I am having a blast playing with them!! Ok, so on to the pictures.

This card was made using the Ride 'em Cowgirl set. I was inspired by Cindy's Sketch Challenge for this week (you can see it here)...ok...loosely inspired. But inspired nonetheless. *wink* I knew I wanted to put twine in her hand, and when I put the circle down I thought, hey! It would be fun for her to rope that circle!! I hope you like it as much as I do.

The next project is a little band-aid tin from my stash of alterables. I covered it with Basic Grey Two Scoops paper and added lots of ribbon!
The scalloped frame was stamped in Colorbox fluid chalk in Rouge, then I stamped the flowers and sentiment inside. The flowers needed something, so I covered them in Fruit Punch Stickles. Inside is my favorite Easter candy...Cadbury Mini Chocolate eggs. Now...if only I could find someone who liked chocolate...*wink*

I hope you had a great weekend! Make sure you check out the rest of the Design Team's teasers (you can use the keyword MFTDT to search on SCS) and see what they have for you to see today! We'll be having the usual MFT Cocktail Party on Wednesday, March 5th, so make sure you check in at the Member Forum for all the details. Happy Monday!

I wonder if I'd get lonesome for the valley, though....

...for the sound of crickets, and the smell of pine straw....for soft little rabbits and bloomin things...Ok, sorry, been listening to Renee Fleming and got a little carried away. That happens often with me, I'm afraid. *wink*

So..............ya wanna see something else from MFT? You better cause here it is!! This is my FAVORITE set this release, and it's called Eggstra-Special Easter. LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did I mention I love it?

This is definitely my favorite image from the set, just because it's so much fun to color, and because those chicks look like they're having so much fun. Don'tcha think?

I stamped the image in Versafine Onyx Black, which is my "Go-To" watercolor ink. Then I colored the image with reinkers & my Niji waterbrush. The color on the purple stripes was created from a combo of Pomegranate & Caribbean. So fun!! Then I added Diamond Stickles to the Purple & Pomegranate parts of the image.

The rest of the card is pretty simple. I used my Creative Memories circle cutter to cut out the pretty white eyelet paper (from The Paper Company), and then a layer of black underneath. I also added some Swarovski crystals and a few "faux eyelets" courteousy of Jen.

If you want more info or more samples, don't forget about the My Favorite Things (www.mftstamps.com) New Release Cocktail Party on Wednesday, February 6 from 9-11 p.m. Eastern time. There is sooo much fun planned, I can't even describe it. There will also be an opportunity for YOU to be the next MFT Guest Designer. Head over to the MFT forum at www.splitcoaststampers.com to find out all the details!

Have a great day!

Ok, not really. But it is MFTeaser time!!!! YAY!

I have had this image done and waiting to be made into a card for like 2 months now...and I'm in love with the colors. I got brave...ya like it?

I changed the ribbon from Kraft Taffeta to wide Chocolate grosgrain though. I like this muuuuuuuch better!!

So anywho, this is just a little tease of what's coming Wednesday from My Favorite Things. This set is called Serenity Now, and it's one of 3 sets being released. I love it! And of course I wiggled the sentiment around to make myself giggle. Do you like it?

And of course, what's a release without a Cocktail Party? Well, there will be one, and you can find it here! You can expect lots of fun, more MFTeasers, and a chance to become next months My Favorite Guest. So fun!!
