Happy Tuesday, y'all! It's time for another Skipping Stones Design sketch from Chan Vuong. Here's what we had to work with this week:
This one totally threw me, I have to admit! So I took a few *ahem* liberties...but you can still see the basic elements, right? *wink*
I used all three patterns from Pumpkin Seed Sentiments to create the fun background. Then I applied a thin layer of gesso to the center and stamped this beautiful sentiment from Christmas Swirls in Stazon ink.
I cut a doily in half and added those on the sides for the edge elements, then trimmed the center panel with this fabulous ric-rac from Creative Impressions. I had some left over even after the two strips I used, so I created a little rolled rose...how cute is that! It's my first one ever, and I have to admit, I'm addicted. I thought it would be fun to add leaves by adhering some green turn mounts upside down, too. What do you think?
Well, that's it for me today. Thanks for stopping by, and don't forget to check out all the gorgeousness from my fellow designers:
