I told you I wouldn't be long...that was last November, now December's almost gone...

Happy New Year's Eve, y'all! Sorry I've been MIA this week...it has been crazy around these parts! My camera has been missing since Christmas, though I'm sure it's around somewhere. It is just hiding. Not that I blame it, I feel that way some days, too. *wink*

I do have a couple of Bella cards that I haven't posted yet, so I hope you enjoy. I had to rely on my backup camera, but I will replace these photos when the other one shows up.

ETA: YAY! New photos! :)

This is a card I created using the Santa's Birdhouse image. Isn't it sweet? It was one I colored a LONG time ago, and pulled out for this card. It was colored on Bella's Bestest Paper with Copic markers of course, then cut and embossed with Labels 8 Nestabilities. While the die was still on, I sponged Crumb Cake and Soft Sky/Baja Breeze ink around the image. The patterned paper is from the Funky Christmas Collection from Crystal Wilkerson. My new favorite. Here's a closeup:

Here's the second card I created. This image is called SockaFellaBella...I can't find it on the site right now, but hopefully will be able to edit the link later.

It's another one of the images I colored long ago and cut out with Nestabilities. I used Liquid Applique on their hats, and Stickles on a few other bits of the image. I colored the seam binding with my BG05 Copic Marker so it matched PERFECTLY (love that!), then added some more Funky Christmas paper. And a closeup:

Well, that's about all I've got for now...I'll be back tomorrow to post my favorites for 2011. Thanks for stopping by, and have a fabulous day!

New life, new hope, new joy He brings...Won't you listen to the angels sing...Glory, Glory, Glory to the new born King...

Happy Wednesday, sistahs! The holidays are finally catching up with me...and I'm a teensy bit frantic! Anyone else with me out there in blog land? It's time for me to get MOVING! So as I get moving, this will be a quick post. *wink* My mojo was going full speed the other night so I made a few cards to share this week. I pulled out Sweet Sunday Sketch #146 from a few weeks ago as a starting point.

I colored this Choir image from Stamping Bella at LEAST a year ago, and it has been hiding in my stash since then. But it's still one of my favorites. Here's my card:

I flipped the sketch a little, but you can still see it. I really REALLY love how it turned out. I cut and embossed the main image & mat with Nestabilities, and added the Season's Greetings sentiment in a pattern on one of the background panels. I love doing this when there isn't really a "place" for a sentiment, or you don't have one that's the right size for the card front. I also added some glitter and Liquid Applique to the image. Here's a closeup:

To finish it off, I tied a little bow with seam binding and added some glitter dots...love those things! Well, now I've gotta run! Thanks for stopping by to say hi...I hope you have a fabulous day!

Here we are as in olden days, happy golden days of yore...faithful friends who are dear to us, gather near to us once more...

Hi y'all! Happy Tuesday! It's time for another Skipping Stones Design sketch, and this one is fabulous!

This month we are focusing on texture...Pumpkin Seed Sentiments and Timeless Textures happen to be two of my favorite sets from SSD, and they BOTH happen to be on sale for only $12.49 each! Perfect for stocking stuffers. *wink* Here's the card I created, also featuring product from Canvas Corp...so totally yummy:

I'm thinking I'll use this card to enclose a family photo in the little envelope...but it would also be perfect for a gift card enclosure, don't you think? The finished card measures 5.25" square. I started with a 5" square of Kraft cardstock and created a pattern with Pumpkin Seed Sentiments using Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, and Fresh Snow inks. I added a little bit of coordinating solid cardstock, then popped up a little "December 25th" circle from the Naughty or Nice paper, adding some Christmas Red Stickles to make it stand out a little more. I'm always looking for ways to use my mini Library Clips, and I thought this looked super cute. Here's a closer look:

I stamped the back of the envelope  with snowflakes from Sassy Snow in Cherry Cobbler ink, then added the bottom of a Kraft tag with that sweet sentiment from Christmas Swirls embossed in black. I tied the envelope shut with rope from the Kraft tag packaging...I thought it looked pretty cute. Some more stickles to the snowflake centers finished it off.

I hope you will play along with us this week...you'll have a chance to win free stamps! Thanks for stopping by, and don't forget to check out all the gorgeousness from my fellow designers! Have a fabulous day!

Oh, it doesn't show signs of stoppin'...and I brought some corn for poppin'...

Happy Monday, y'all! How was your weekend? Mine was short...too much to do and not enough time...story of my life! I did find some crafty time Sunday night, and I pulled out another Clean and Simple sketch to play with.

I knew I wanted to use my new Let it Snow stamp set from Maya Road that I picked up at The Crafty Scrapper a while back, and I also wanted to play with Crystal Wilkerson's new Funky Christmas collection...I am head over heels for this paper!! I re-sized each one to 5"x5" and printed them out onto double sided brochure paper...so fabulous. Here's what I came up with:

Isn't that so fun? I stamped the snowflake in VersaMark and embossed with white embossing powder. After layering the two coordinating papers on the smaller white square, I punched a circle out to create a window for my snowflake. Then I added the sentiment from Verve's Ornamental Christmas set on a banner from my die-cut stash. Here's a closeup:

I couldn't resist adding a little bit of Diamond Stickles...everything's better with a little bling. *grin* I will be back tomorrow with another Skipping Stones Design sketch card, so try not to miss me too much. Thanks for stopping by...I hope you have a fabulous day!
