Happy Tuesday, y'all! It's time for another Skipping Stones Design sketch from Chan Vuong. Here's what we had to work with this week, and boy was it a tough one for me!!
And here's my (second try) card, using Rustic Tiles and Christmas Swirls, as well as some fun goodies from Creative Impressions:
I cut 1" squares of some fabulous Girls' Paperie Christmas paper for the side and bottom tiles. I wanted to create a little "ornament" out of paper, so I punched a few 1" circles out of kraft cardstock to create a faux chipboard look, then topped it with another pattern from the collection stamped with an image from Rustic Tiles. Before I adhered it to the scalloped circle I added a thick layer of Crackle Accents. Once it dried, I punched a hole for my little photo hanger/ornament hook. Here's a close up:
The sentiment is embossed with gold embossing powder, and I thought it would be fun to do a little ribbon cross-stitching with the super thin ribbon from Creative Impressions. I really like how it turned out, even if it almost got the best of me! *grin* Thanks for stopping by, and don't forget to check out all the gorgeousness from my fellow designers:
