Happy Thursday, people! How's your week going? Mine is going SSSSLLLLOOOOWWWW...I'm ready for a 3 day weekend! I do have something fun to share today, though! It's my day on the Verve Blog for this month's Project Parade. And we have such a fun theme this time - I have already been blown away by all the creations from my fellow divas.
Summer is already in full swing here in Texas...it's supposed to be 94 degrees today! ACK! So I wanted to do something a little different to cool things off a bit. Check it out:
I bought this Acrylic Shadowbox Frame (Chloe Small)* by Darcie from The Crafty Scrapper and thought it would make a cute little gift for a friend. After covering the back piece with patterned paper, I stamped the sentiment from the Happy Days set on vellum in black Stazon to use as an overlay. I assembled my frame, adding a mixture of glitter and Dazzling Diamond Dust tinted with my E33 Copic marker refill. I thought the hibiscus flowers were a perfect accent in the top right corner. The papers are from October Afternoon's Fly a Kite collection.
Well, that's it for me today...I hope you enjoyed my project! If you want to play along for a chance to win some Verve stamps, you can find all the details HERE. Have a fabulous day!
*Note: I can't find any online stores that carry these, but HERE is a link to the flyer that has all the styles in it. If you can't find them at your local store, the girls at The Crafty Scrapper would be happy to ship an order to you...just give them a call!

This is lovely, I just love the "glittery" sand element. Oh can you send your Texas sunshine our way...it's been rain, rain and more rain here.
This is just beautiful! I love how you used the Copic ink to dye the glitter! I'm sure your friend will love it!
Simple adorable and what a great idea to make a shaker with this set...simple Fab, Shannan!!!
