And its funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, what you drive or the price tag on your clothes...there's no dollar sign on a piece of mind; this I've come to know...

Hey, y'all! Happy Friday! How was your week? It has been very cold and rainy here in Texas, but I think we're going to get a break this weekend. Fingers crossed! Well, since it's Friday, you know I have a Bellariffic post for you today. But first I'd like to take a moment to tell you a story.

Just a few months after I started stamping, I discovered the cutest, most adorable stamps, and fell head over heels. I actually know exactly which card started it...but I can't find it!!! It's a card by Julie Ebersole (HRR herself!) using Cosmobella...one layer...anyone seen it? Link it up! Anywho, I fell in LOVE, ok, I fell in OBSESSION, can anyone else relate? I needed every last one of those stamps. And so it began.

I have been tagging along with the sistahs at Bella for what seems like forevah. I was Emily's first guest designer, and was there from the inception of the Bella Babes. I even got to help them shop at CHA, sistahs!! And every second has been a blast. Life has thrown me a few curve balls over the last year, and there are some major changes going on. It is with great sadness that I must step down from the Babes (for now!!), so I can pick up my bat and start swingin' (at the curve balls, people, I'm not really leaving to play baseball!). I have loved working with the crew at Bella, and they haven't seen the last of me!! *wink* And I most definitely will continue to use and love my Bella stamps, and showcasing them here on my blog. I'm not leaving, just relaxing a bit and reducing some responsibilities. K? I also want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to Em. You have been a wonderful friend, boss lady, confidant, advisor, and all-around crazy person. MWAH!

Ok, enough blabber, here's the sketch I created for this week's Bellariffic Friday Challenge:
And here's the card I created, using Eva Bloom:

Ok, now before you laugh at me, let me say that yes, I went a little overboard with the chunky glass glitter. I had a vision in my head of doing something soft and vintage like my friend Melissa, but I just got a little carried away. Stop laughing! And no, I was not having margaritas whilst making this...

Eva was stamped in Memento Black on Bella's Bestest Paper, then colored with Copic Markers and cut/embossed with my Oval Nestabilities. I used some scraps from my Basic Grey Porcelain collection, did some stitching, and then added Cocoa Glass Pearl Flatbacks to the top left corner. I really think I'd be happier with this if I had chosen my papers before coloring my image, but oh well! I still like the way it turned out. I hope you don't think it's hideous! *grin*

Well, I have to run for today...don't forget to check out the rest of the creations from the Babes and the Sistahood on Emily's Blog. And if you want to play along, the theme for next week is Valentines! Have an awesome day!

LOL Shannan!!! Overboard??! Whaaaat?! Girl, one can never have too much glitter! I think this card looks like perfection! All your creations do though! So, I thought of you last night when I had my copic "air compressor" (you know the one my hubby jerry-rigged from the garage into my stamp room) running last night. I swear I thought I was going to wake up the neighborhood, ROFL!

You just killed me! LOL I say the closer photo on your blog and I am looking at it, thinking it looked like it was watercolored with the texture...then I just start to read about the chunky glass glitter!!! HAHA I used it at Christmas on a card that was WAY to small for the chunky stuff and I was horrified. But...I couldn't do much about it in my case. Your card looks awesome! I just stamped this image out myself and the areas are so much bigger than the little bird areas I tried to glitter up! Miss you Shannabella!!

Taking care of yourself is number one! Bella's losing a great Babe, but only temporarily I hope! Your creations are wonderful! Best wishes!

Shannan, sorry to see you leave the babes! You have amazing work! I hope that everything is OK and you can find the strength to deal with the curve balls you are swinging at!!
