For my card today, I decided to use Amy R's Friday Sketch for this week. It's a great one! I stamped Missmatch Ketto in Memento Tuxedo Black on Simply Smooth Ivory paper from Prism and colored her with Copic Markers. The patterned paper is the Apron Strings pattern from the new Cosmo Cricket Early Bird Collection...OH MY GOODNESS!! This paper is my new favorite. Possibly my favorite of the year. Anywho, I added some black and Kraft accents, stamped the Dance like no one's watching sentiment on the bottom right corner panel, and added some Riding Hood Red Taffeta ribbon in the top left corner. Finished it off with some Prima Flowers and Stickles...YUM! I hope you like it.

Now, it's time to hop on over to my fellow sistah and friend Amber's blog: The Stamping Scrapbooker. Don't forget to leave her some love along the way!!

The winds of change are blowing wild and free...but you ain't seen nothing like me yet...

Happy Friday, everybody! It's Field Day for the kiddos in the Teubner House, and it's already promising to be a fun one. Caleb's teacher sent home a note asking for volunteers to fill water balloons and send them to school on Friday, so we thought "Hey, no big deal, we can do that!" Ok, first of all, there are a BAZILLION MILLION KAJILLION tiny balloons in one teensy weensy bag. They keep growing and multiplying...it's like they'll never end! It started out as a "Dad Job" and ended up as a whole family affair. By the end of the evening, we all had muddy feet and were wet from head to toe. How that happened is beyond me, but it was pretty fun. *grin*

Friday is also one of my favorite days of the week because it's Bellariffic Friday! Each Monday, Emily gives us a challenge, and the cards are revealed on her blog on Fridays. I love seeing how everyone interprets a sketch or inspiration piece. If you haven't played before, we'd love for you to join us!

Anywho, this week we used a sketch created by the fantabulous Nickabella (translated to computer sketch by moi). I really love this one...I think you might see it again!

And here's my interpretation of the sketch:

I had this image of Patricia Birthdaycake in my "already colored" stash. She was stamped in Black Stazon on watercolor paper and then colored with a waterbrush and reinkers. Looking at this pic, it looks like the polka dot paper doesn't match, but I promise, it really does!! The finished card measures 5 1/4" square. I accented the image with some stitching around the edges and a good bit of Diamond Stickles. I did have to use my Stampamajig to place the Fantabulous Day sentiment, but I thought it fit just perfectly! I finished the card off with some lace, a white Prima flower, and a pretty green button threaded with crochet thread.

Well, it's time for me to keep plugging away at my to-do list. I hope you enjoyed my card...thanks for stopping by to see me today! Don't forget to check out Emily's Blog for creations from the rest of the Babes and the Sistahood...you won't be disappointed! Have a wonderful Friday!

And I won't be far from where you are if ever you should call...

Hey y'all, Happy Thursday! Is it me or has this week totally FLOWN by? I guess it's cause I have so much to do...*grin* It is getting to be the end of school (next week, to be exact), and there are so many activities and programs and events...it's hard for a mom to keep up! Tomorrow is Field Day, and there will be water balloons...fun stuff!

Anyway, I have a couple of cards I haven't shown you yet, so I thought I'd leave you with some eye candy for today.
This card features the Lottie and Gussie Gabalot stamp from the Chichiboulie line at Stamping Bella. I stamped them in Memento Tuxedo Black on Neenah Solar White cardstock, then colored them with Copic Markers. The sentiment, Hello dear friend, is one of my very favorites, and of course I couldn't resist using some Light Cocoa Glitter Dots.

The next card is even cleaner and simpler than the first...thank heaven for these cards sometimes!

Don't get me wrong, I love to sit and spend hours getting a card "just right," but these days there just isn't time for that every day. That's when cards with the Clean & Simple layouts and few layers are lifesavers. I still make something cute, it just didn't take a bazillion hours! *grin*

This card features Cosmobella, who is probably my favorite Bella if I had to choose. She was stamped in Memento ink onto Neenah cardstock and colored with Copics. I used the Swiss Dots embossing Folder, a sentiment from Billboardabella's Words, and three Goldfish Baubles. Simple and fun!

Ok, sistahs, I gotta run...don't forget, you still have time to play in the Bellariffic Friday challenge this week. You can see the sketch and details HERE. Also, check out the cool news HERE...wayyy cool! I can't wait to get mine and play!

Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous Thursday!

I need something inspiring to help me get along, I need a little fabulous is that so wrong?

Happy Monday, everybody! I hope you had a fabulous weekend! We had a fun one...on Saturday we went to my nephew's 2nd birthday party...what fun! The boys really had a blast in the bounce house, and it was too cute watching Keegan eat his cake. Such a cutie! After the party (and a nap), I went to The Crafty Scrapper to play with some Maya Road goodies. I haven't crafted outside of my craft room in a long time...it was nice!

So, I have a couple of Bella cards to show you today. Hope you enjoy them!

I used Addy 'Tude and the Beauty is not Extravagance sentiment on this card, and a few Crystal Bon-Bons. The striped paper is one of my faves from Bella Blvd. I thought Addy needed some bling on her glasses, so I used my Tiara Glitz Stickles (could there be a better name???) on the frames, and Diamond Glaze on the lenses and her earrings. Fabulous, dahhhlink!

The next card is one I created for the CPS Sketch from this past week, where Stamping Bella was the sponsor. Loved this one, Tami!
I used Charlotte Ketto on this one...lovey her! Oh, and more Crystal Bon-bons. *grin* I couldn't resist this Urban Prairie paper from Basic Grey to go with it...yummy! There are also a few accents of Diamond Stickles on her purse and dress.

Well, I'm headed out, thanks for coming to visit me today! Have a wonderful day!

Then, I am still and wait here in the silence...Until you come and sit a while with me...

Happy Saturday, guys! Hope your weekend is off to a good start. Mine is...my sweet hubby rented Twlight for us to watch tonight, and we even had some ice cream! Life can't get much better than that, I think.

Anyway, I just have a quick card to share with you today. I created this for the Verve Release...yay for new stamps! Julee has designed some fabulous images this time around, so make sure you check them all out HERE.

I created this card using using several of the stamps from the new set Up, Up & Away. Before I started my card, I stamped each of the balloons onto post-it notes and created masks for each one. Then I stamped them onto a 4" x 5 1/4" sheet of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, kind of in a cluster like they were floating upward. After the image was colored with Copic Markers, I cut into the panel on the diagonal and added a black mat. This took some eyeballing, but I think it worked pretty well! I'm sure I could have used a ruler or something, but that would have been too easy. *wink*

I added some Liquid Applique to the clouds, and I love the texture that added. Then I just adhered the strip to my Kraft card base (measures 5 1/4" square) and stamped the sentiment from Sweet on You, another new release. I didn't want it to get too fussy, since I wanted the images and colors to stand out on this one. So less is more (this time). *grin*

Make sure you check out all the fabulous creations with the new releases in the Verve Gallery, and notice that there's a SALE going on at Verve as well! Nothing better than new stamps on sale, right?

If you're watching for more Memorial Day sales this weekend, make sure you check out Jacksonbelle Embellishments as well...the whole store is 25% off with the code MEMDAY09.

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

I know a place where no one's lost, I know a place where no one cries...crying at all is not allowed, not in my castle on a cloud...

Hey you guys, Happy Friday! Whew, what a week this has been!! I don't know about y'all, but here we are gearing up for the end of school, which means lots of field trips! This week alone we have been to the zoo, a ropes course, and to the dugout at Ranger Stadium. I'm pooped, and I didn't even go! *grin*

Well, hopefully by now you know what Friday brings...Bellariffic Friday! This week, I made a sketch of one of Nickabella's creations, and here's how it turned out:

Is that a cool sketch or what? Nicky is a genius, I tell you. Here's my finished card:

This week I chose Altee 'Tude...what fun she is to color!! I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black on Prism Simply Smooth Ivory, and colored her with Copic Markers. Then I cut and embossed the image with my Rectangle Nestabilities, added a Suede Brown Dark mat, and a scalloped rectangle from Intense Pink. I accented the 9 and the flower on her hat with some Diamond Stickles, then set the image aside to dry.

Moving on to my card base, I stitched a 5" square of Suede Brown Light to a mat of Suede Brown Dark. I chose Wild Wasabi from SU to match her hat for the strip across the card, and punched it with my Martha Stewart edge punch. It didn't stand out the way I'd hoped, so I layered it onto a strip of Ivory. Then I cut the large panel from Suede Brown Dark and stitched it onto the card base with a zig-zag stitch. The circle was cut from Barely Banana cardstock (SU) with my Nestabilities and layered onto the card. I stamped the Oh, Happy Day sentiment (LOVE this one!!) in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a strip of Ivory cardstock. The "v" cut out of the end was done with a square punch...this idea was brought to you buy my genius friend Charmaine! Brilliant!! The image is popped up on dimensionals, and I added three Light Cocoa Glitter Dots to finish off the card. Love those glitter dots!!

Well, that's about it for me today. I hope you enjoyed my card...thanks for stopping by to see me today! Don't forget to check out Emily's Blog for creations from the rest of the Babes and the Sistahood...lots of eye candy for sure! Have a wonderful Friday!

And oh, let's take it easy and celebrate the malleable reality...Because nothing is ever as it seems, this life is but a dream...

Happy Friday, y'all! I hope you all had a great week. Today's Bellariffic Friday, and I have a rare treat for you...a ONE LAYER card! I know, it doesn't happen very often, so enjoy it! *wink*

This week, Emily challenged us to create a card with Gold and Bling. Now, the bling part was easy enough, but I don't have many gold things around my stamp room. Here's what I came up with.

I stamped Kenya Ketto in Black Stazon on a Fabriano notecard, then watercolored her with a waterbrush & reinkers. Once she was colored, I added Gold Interference Pearl Ex to her wand and the flowers on her dress, and Diamond Stickles on her shoes and the very center of her sparkle wand. Here's a close-up:

Once she was dry, I tied a strip of Aqua Ribbon Garter along the side, and threaded it through a Vintage Rose Button. The final touch was the Thinking of You sentiment stamped in Stazon.

Thanks for coming by to visit me today! Don't forget to check out the eye candy from the rest of the Babes and the Sistahood on Emily's Blog, and comment there for a chance to win some Bella Bucks! Have a fabulous weekend!

Im your biggest fan, I'll follow you until you love me, Papa-paparazzi...

Hey yall! How are you this fine Wednesday? Today was a happy mail day for me, so I decided to sit down and play with some new goodies and do today's Sketch Challenge on Splitcoast.

I got some goodies from Prism Papers today, so I pulled out my Intense Pink, Frosted Pink, Suede Brown Dark, and Simply Smooth White. Before I go on with the card details, I have to tell you about this Simply Smooth stuff. Oh. My. Goodness. I think this paper has magic powers. If it's not busy tonight, I think I might marry it. Seriously! When Keri Lee and Jeanne told me I needed some, I thought there was nothing that would compare to my precious Neenah cardstock. While I still love my Neenah, this is totally different. It is super smooth, and requires less ink than I have used before. Which did take some getting used to. It also has virtually no bleeding outside the lines. I actually colored the hair in my image 3 times and had NOTHING go outside the lines. I am super excited about that!!!

So I'm thinking that if enough of us petition, maybe we can get Emily to carry it at Stamping Bella. What do yall think? *grin* She is gonna love me for that.

I got all three of the new 'Tude girls from artist Christy Croll, and I loveyyyy them so much! I chose Amplee 'Tude, and stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored her with Copic markers. I cut the image out and embossed it with my Rectangle Nestabilities. I added Stickles to the cherry on her ice cream and the lollipop on her dress, then coated the ice cream with Diamond Glaze.

Once I set her aside to dry, I sponged my base layer of Frosted Pink with Close to Cocoa ink, and layered it with Suede Brown Dark. I used Intense Pink for my large layer, and punched the edge with my Martha Stewart edge punch. After wrapping my white ribbon around, I added the Suede Brown Dark layer, then popped up the main image on dimensionals. To create the button/bow combination, I used this tutorial from Nichole Heady. Finally, I thought the two large Crystal bonbons were fabulous just to the left of the image to finish off the card.

What do yall think? Does this look any different than my normal Copic coloring? Click the image to see a larger photo and let me know what ya think!

See you tomorrow...off to cook dinner! Have a great night!

Without you by my side, I never could survive..I wouldn't be the woman standin' here before your eyes...

Happy Sunday and Mother's Day, peeps! I had a wonderful day today that began with roses and breakfast in bed, then an afternoon with my family. A girl couldn't ask for more! I hope all of you moms had a restful day (even if that means there are messy houses to clean tomorrow!) *wink*

Earlier I needed to create a quick card, so I scanned my saved sketches and found this one from Jen's Sketch for You to Try yesterday. I love it when the hard work is done for me...makes card making much quicker!

I pulled out Verve's Because of You set (sorry, it's temporarily sold out, but coming back soon!) to make this one for Josh's mom. I stamped the flower image in Kiwi Kiss, then removed the ink on the flower image with a blender pen and colored it with my Elegant Eggplant marker, then huffed and stamped. I did the same for the other image using Rose Red. Then I stamped the sentiment in Versamagic Midnight Black, sponged the edges of the panel, and distressed it with my Tonic Distressor Tool. The Rose Red panel was embossed using the Textile Embossing Folder. The edges of the Kraft panel were sponged with Close to Cocoa ink, then I added the 5/8" White Grosgrain ribbon.

Well, I'm out...gotta get the crew fed and bathed and ready for bed. Have a wonderful evening!

Gotta make a move to a town that's right for me...town to keep me movin' keep me groovin' with some energy...

Morning, y'all! Happy Friday!! This week, Dana issued the Bellariffic Friday challenge, which was to make a birthday card! Hmmm...I can do that! There's always room in my stash for more birthday cards.

The used Amy's layout from this card...that girl has some smoking card layouts! WOW! For the main panel, I stamped Birthday Cake with a Stella In It in Black Stazon on watercolor paper and colored her with reinkers and a waterbrush. I cut and embossed her with my Rectangle Nestabilities and added a Chocolate mat. The white card base measures 5 1/4" square, so I added a 5" Kraft square as my base panel. Then I layered a piece of Baja Breeze cardstock with Chocolate and rounded the bottom right corner. The next layer is a piece of Bella Blvd striped paper, layered with Chocolate and Pumpkin cardstock, with a scalloped edge. Next I added the strip across, which is Chocolate Chip cardstock topped with 1" wide Baja Breeze ribbon. I popped up the main image panel (I used a bazillion and one dimensionals on this card, I think) and adhered the circle with the happy birthday sentiment stamped on it to the top right corner. To finish it off, I added Diamond Glaze to Stella's lips, Diamond Stickles to her wand and tiara and candle, and Liquid Applique to her cake. The final final touch were some Light Cocoa Glitter Dots...I think I have a new obsession...

Yes, a little much, a little over the top. You can't imagine how much this card weighs! But I love it. *sigh*

Now, on the total OTHER end of the spectrum, I have a clean and simple card to show you. I made this one for yesterday's Ways to Use it challenge on Splitcoast. Julia's challenge was to use Kraft cardstock. (yeah, not much of a challenge for me...shhhh)

I stamped Daisybella in Memento Tuxedo Black on Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored her with Copic markers. Using my Oval Nestabilities, I cut and embossed the image and added the Just a Note sentiment with my Stampamajig. I added some Diamond Stickles to the flower on her shirt and in her hair, and adhered a Goldfish Bauble to the center of her daisy. The Banana piece was embossed with the Paisley Embossing Folder, then I added a red layer just large enough to show under the oval image. I added some white taffeta ribbon around the card base, then popped the main image up on dimensionals. Three small Light Cocoa Glitter Dots finished off the bottom left corner.

Well, that's about it for me today! Don't forget to check out Emily's Blog for more eye candy and a chance to win some Bella Bucks. Have a Bellariffic Day!

I'm on the supersonic boom...Y'all hear the spaceship zoom...

Morning, everyone! Happy Thursday! I hope your week is going great so far. If not, it's almost over! *grin*

I have a quick little Verve card to show you today. I used one of the release sketch challenges for April that Julee created...I love keeping these to use later as a jumping off point for my cards.

I needed a thank-you card, so I pulled out my go-to set Thankful Blossoms. First I stamped the Medallion Plain Jane in Soft Sky ink on watercolor paper. Then I stamped the sentiment on top in Black Stazon. The edges are distressed with my Tonic Distressor Tool, and then I matted the square with black cardstock.

The base of the card is also watercolor paper (it had to match!), and I layered the solid side of the Audrey paper from Cosmo Cricket's Dutch Girl collection. I used the patterned side of the same paper for the panel across, layering it on black and then white. After it was all adhered, I stitched around the edges with my sewing machine.

To finish it off, I added a little strip of buttons (I love the way Dawn does it, so I gave it a try!) and crochet thread. I also tied a piece of black May Arts Ruffled Ribbon across the card, then added the main image popped up on dimensionals. I have to say, I love the way this one turned out! I had forgotten about this paper, but man, is it yummy or what??

Well, that's it for me today. I hope you have a wonderful Thursday!

Let me surround you, my sea to your shore...let me be the calm you seek...

Happy Wednesday, y'all! Thanks for all the get well wishes...I'm feeling a bit better, just taking it easy today and trying to drink lots of water.

I did a little bit of late-night stamping, and I was excited to see that today's Sketch Challenge was posted before I was ready for bed. So I decided to sit down and play!

I chose Anna Wight's Simply Bloom set from Whipper Snapper. I stamped the flower twice in Stazon on Watercolor paper, then drew the stems and added leaves with my Stampamajig. I colored the image with my waterbrush & reinkers. The edges were distressed with my Tonic Distressor tool, then I matted the panel with black and punched one side with the Scalloped Edge punch from Stampin' Up.

The base layer is Blush Blossom, and I sponged the edges with Tangerine Tango, then Close to Cocoa, and then a bit of Black. For the strip across the card, I matted a piece of Olive May Arts satin ribbon with black cardstock. Then I added three brads to the bottom right corner, and the sentiment framed with a piece of hardware from the We R Memory Keepers kit. Some twine to the edges of the hardware and I was all done! The finished card measures 4 1/4" square.

Well, peeps, I'm off to rest some more. I hope you have a great day!

I think I'll go for a walk outside now, the summer sun is callin' my name...

Hey yall, it's me again! Yes, I know...2 posts in one day! I had a little burst of energy (yay meds!), so I whipped up a quick little card for the Jacksonbelle Tuesday Challenge. Today we are all using the NEW beautiful crocheted flowers Lindsey now has in her store for pre-order. They are HAND CRAFTED by Melody (lacyquilter on SCS) and they are absolutely gorgeous!! I am so totally hoarding them. *grin*

I did a little crazy stitching on my Kraft card base (I think I have a Kraft deficiency...*wink*) and added a strip of the polka dot side of this Prima cardstock punched with my Scalloped Dot Martha Stewart Edge Punch. (which I think Lindsey will be carrying soon!) I stamped Hey There Sunshine from Verve in Versamagic Jumbo Java ink and added a little strip of Chocolate Chip cardstock on the top. The final touch was one of Melody's flowers topped with a brown button from the Porcelain Collection.

Here's a detail shot:
Isn't that flower fabulous?? I am addicted already, I swear.

Anyway, you can pre-order a package or 10 HERE. Also, all Memory Box is 30% off and Ranger Stickles are all 15% off. She also has brand new Inkadinkado stamps in stock and brand new Basic Grey!

See yall later!

I've grown accustomed to the tune that she whistles night and noon...

Hey yall! How's your Tuesday so far? Mine is ok, except those pesky kidney stones from January are coming back to bother me. Boooo.... I just got back from the dr to get some medicine, so hopefully that will help.

I have a quick little card to show you, then I'm off to rest on the couch. I think this gets me out of kitchen duty, don't you? *wink*

I stamped Daisy with a Stella On Top in Memento Tuxedo Black on Neenah Solar White cardstock, then colored her with Copic markers. I cut and embossed her with my Circle Nestabilities, then added some Stickles to her wand, dress, and tiara. Then I used some Diamond Glaze to make her lips and shoes shiny...because who can have non-shiny red shoes?

The Riding Hood Red panel is embossed with the Houndstooth Embossing Folder, and I added some Light Cocoa Glitter Dots as an accent. I mounted that to my 4 1/4" square Kraft card base, and tied some white ribbon around the top before mounting Stella on dimensionals. Quick and easy!

Ok, so I had to pick 2 more Blog Candy winners since 2 of the 3 didn't contact me. Here are the random picks:

And never leave a moment too soon...Never waste a hot afternoon...

Happy Monday, yall! I'm sorry I have been the world's worst blogger. Do you forgive me?? Please? I just realized that I haven't posted my cards from the Verve Release...so here's some eye candy for you!

The first card I have to show you is for Amber's Viva La Verve April Week 5 Sketch. It was such a simple card, but the stamps are so beautiful that it packs a big punch.

There are so many people I could give this card to...I have a long list of people who have made a difference in my life. Is that weird? Anywho, I think I got a little carried away with layers on this one...is that FIVE?? *grin* It's definitely solid. The main image and sentiment are from Verve's Because of You set. I stamped them in Versafine Onyx Black on Watercolor paper and watercolored the image with my reinkers and waterbrush. Some ribbon, brads, and bling was all I needed to finish it off!

The next card is the anniversary card I made for my hubby this year. Hence the lack of ribbon and bling. *wink*

When I saw this sentiment, I immediately thought of my husband. We've been best friends since we were 12 years old, and we've been through a lot together. (most of it was his fault...) Anyway, I used Because of You on this one as well...I love that this set is appropriate for so much more than Mother's Day...it's certainly one I'll use all year. I inked up the flower stamp with Versamagic Dew Drops...they're little so it's easy to use more than one color on a stamp. I stamped it once, then without cleaning or reinking, stamped it again to get a little shadow image next to the first one. After I stamped the sentiment, I cut the image out with my Labels 4 Nestabilities and leaving the die in place, sponged the edges with chalk ink. My Kraft base was embossed with the Swiss Dots embossing folder.

Well, that's about it for me today, yall! I'm glad you stopped by to see me. *grin*

I haven't heard from the other 2 blog candy winners, so I'll re-draw and post 2 more tomorrow, K?

Have a fabulous Monday!

Friday, May 1, 2009

Somethin' gotta give me butterflies...Somethin' gotta make me feel alive...

Happy May, y'all! It has been a crazy week...did I tell you that yet? *grin* I can't believe it's May already. It seems like my kiddos just started back to school, and summer's almost here!

Before I show you my Bellariffic Friday card, I wanted to give my blog candy winners one more shot to contact me. I have only heard from one out of three of you! Crystal & Melia...please email me by Monday or I'll have to draw 2 more names, k?

Now...on to Bellariffic Friday! This week's challenge was a sketch from Jen. I have to say...this one was a toughie for some reason! I almost changed it all up, but I was good and played by the rules. Aren't you proud?

This is fairly basic, so I won't bore you with details of what I did on this one...let me know if you have questions, k?

Make sure you check out Bloggabella for more eye candy and a chance to win some Bella Bucks!

Now, I don't usually post these thingys, but my girl Ri gave me the sweetest award, and I wanted to share it with all of you.

"These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind of bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly written text into the body of their award."

She totally made my day when she sent this to me! There's no way I can only choose eight, so I'm passing this on to all of you. Have a wonderful day!
