Hey, y'all! Happy Tuesday! It's time again for another Sketch Challenge from my girl Mercy. Have I mentioned I love Mercy's sketches? And this one was as fun (and easy) as they come! I hope you have time to play along. Here's the sketch for this week:
Get out your sunglasses, cause here's my bright card (minus the little embellishment....shhhh!!):
Yep, I warned you! I colored Gertie Lulu up a few weeks ago when I was over at Chris's for a stamping party. Her sweet Katie helped me pick colors, and I just ran with them! Kind of Lisa Frank inspired, dontcha think? So I cut and embossed the main image with my Rectangle Nestabilities, then added a scalloped black mat. For the side panel, I embossed a strip of white cardstock with the Spots & Dots embossing folder, then rubbed my Raspberry Fizz cube over the raised areas and the edges. For the background layer, I cut a piece of Curry Dot cardstock from Bo Bunny, matted with black. Once that was adhered to my white card base, I tied a strip of Raspberry Fizz stitched ribbon around in a knot. To finish it off, I popped the main image up on dimensionals and accented her with some Diamond Stickles. I think this will be a great girlie birthday card, don't you?
If you want to play along with us this week, don't forget to use the keyword MTSC38 when uploading to online galleries. And while you're online, don't forget to check out Mercy's blog to see her awesome card and a fabulous sample from our rockin' guest, Suzy Tyler. Then you can check out my fellow muses for some amazing eye candy:
