Hey everybody, what's up? My boys are back tonight, so I just have a quick second, but I wanted to post these cards I made for the Clean and Simple Challenge and Color Challenge on Splitcoast this week.
I have been missing some of my older Verve sets lately, so I pulled Petals & Stems out for this one.
I cut a white square to 3 1/4" square and stamped the flowers in Baja Breeze and Ruby Red ink. I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black, and decided to add the flower centers in black also for a little extra pop. After rounding both bottom corners, I matted the image panel with black and popped it up on my Baja Breeze card base. The finished card measures 4 1/4" square. It was quick and easy, and I think the colors give it a nice, bright, happy feel.
I had so much fun making that one, that I decided to ink up Abundant Blessings and make another card!
This card was created the exact same way as the one above, except I decided to distress the edges of the white panel instead of rounding the corners. I also added Diamond Stickles to the flower centers. The sentiment is from Fluttering By.
Well, that's about it for this afternoon. Oh, by the way, if you haven't made a project for the Verve Project Parade yet, what are you waiting for? You have until Saturday, so get stamping! You can find all the details on the Verve Blog. Have a fabulous evening!
