It's time for another Sketch for You to Try, and this week I thought I'd ink up Stella has her Fix for my card today.
Isn't she fabulous? I loveeeeeeeeyyyyy her. She is stamped in Brilliance Black ink on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, then colored with Copic markers. Then I added some Stickles to her dress trim, wand, and crown and Diamond Glaze to her lips, coffee cup, and shoes. She is one shiny sistah!
When I saw the sketch, I immediately saw a chance to use some more of my hardware kit from We R Memory Keepers. So I threaded the ribbons through and held both ends in place with brads. I also wanted my background to pop more against the white layer, so I embossed both the rose and caribbean pieces with my Swiss Dots embossing folder, then sponged the pieces with Pomegranate and Turquoise ink, respectively. The sentiment (from River City Rubber Works) was stamped in Pearlized Chocolate ink and cut out with a long rectangle scalloped Nestabilities. The rectangle was a bit too wide, so I trimmed it to leave scallops only on the left side for something a little different.
Well, that pretty much covers it...and I think I may have figured out one of the reasons I haven't wanted to stamp this week. My room is a total disaster, the desk is almost covered with scraps of projects, and I can't find anything! So after I finish this post and feed the boys, I'm off to clean up a bit and see if that doesn't do the trick. Fingers crossed!
Make sure you check out cards using this sketch from my stampin' friends Jen and our guest Nancy, Amy R., Amy S., Carole, and Susan. If you upload your card to SCS, don't forget to use the SFYTT keyword!
Have a fabulous day!

ROTFLMAO, Shannan--this is just too dang funny! And I hear ya on the messy desk thing--I would have to stay after school if I had a stamping teacher and she saw my mess! Good luck with that!!
Shannon, the sentiment on your card is cracking me up! The coloring of Stella is FABULOUS! Love your ribbon treatment with the hardware on the side too! GREAT card!
Super cute card Shannan!! My desk is clean, but don't ask about the floor around it...yikes!!
Good luck with that desk, Shannan, and when you get done, why not head north and clean up mine?! Love your Stella and that awesome hardware!
Love the colors, and so funny!
Great Stella card! Love the bright colors (and the funny sentiment)!
