There's Egg on My Face

Ok, well, to be specific...in my EYE. Not a big deal for the normal person, but to someone who carries an epi-pen and is allergic to eggs...not so fun.

I decided last night to make French Toast for my boys for dinner. On the weekends we like to have "Breakfast for dinner" sometimes. I am allergic to eggs (VERY allergic), so I couldn't eat them, but I fixed them up and the boys loved it. I think somehow in the process, I got egg either under my fingernail or on my finger, and then must have brushed my left eye. I have never had a reaction with external contact, just when I eat them, but now I know...it works both ways!! My eye started to itch and water, then swell. Then my nose started itching and running. Then my throat, but all of it was only on the left side. My throat actually swelled up!! From getting egg in my eye!! How weird is that?? The good news is that it went away without me getting really sick or having to use my epi-pen, and it was only about 30 minutes of total discomfort before I was back to normal. I just thought it was interesting, and I will no longer make French Toast.

Ok, enough babbling, here's my card for today. This is another sample I made for the Gina K release. It's one of my old faithful layouts that I love. Notice the yummy ribbon? It's from the pkg that Charmaine sent me!! I love it.
I hope yall are having an amazing weekend! It has been so nice here, FINALLY! We have all the windows open to enjoy the outside. I have a feeling though that this is all the snow I'm going to get. :D

I am so sorry about the eggs sweetie. I am highly allergic to sour apple so I understand about the swelling. I hope you're feeling better and I LOVE this card. That ribbon is amazing!!

I would be happy to give you several recipes for french toast without eggs. We are vegans and happily eat it without eggs and it's still VERY yummy!

Very pretty card!

Love the card, Shannan and that ribbon looks awesome! So glad you like it! :) I can't believe your egg allergy! Savannah is allergic to eggs, ALMOST to Epi-Pen proportions, but not quite. Peanut, well that's another story! So glad you didn't have to use the Epi-Pen. . .scary!

I am THAT allergic to eggs too!! NEVER give yourself an eggwhite facial... it may tighten the pores but man is hard on the rest of the face!!! LOL...

FAB blog BTW... I happened upon it today and will be adding it to my daily blog rounds!
