Hope I didn't spoil your birthday...I know I'm acting kinda crazy...

Happy Tuesday, y'all! How was your Monday? My boys had a wonderful first day of school...I'm so thankful! They ate good and then went right to bed...what more could a mom want? *grin*

So, being that it's Tuesday, it's time for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge! Here's our sketch for this week:

Now, it's not only just a normal Tuesday, it's Jackie's BIRTHDAY!!!! So we're all celebrating her today. Here's my card for her (which will be on its way to you today!):

I've had this image of Willow with Flowers colored for a while and thought this was the perfect time to use her! She was stamped in Memento Black onto Bella's Bestest Paper and colored with Copic Markers. I wanted a softer look for the ground underneath her, so I used a brown Prismacolor pencil for that. After I trimmed the image, I sponged the edges with Close to Cocoa and Chocolate Chip ink, then matted the image with Chocolate Chip cardstock. For my base layer, I chose Pink Pirouette (soooo happy that I stocked up on this color!), sponged and distressed, then stitched to a Chocolate Chip mat. I colored this image with my Basic Grey Lemonade paper in mind, so I used that for my strip across, matted with a scalloped piece of Chocolate Chip, with some wide Chocolate grosgrain tied around it. I pierced the back of each scallop, so the piercing would give some texture on the front. After mounting the main image on dimensionals, I stamped the sentiment from Verve's Birthday Surprise set in Versamagic Jumbo Java ink.

Don't forget to check out Mercy's Blog, as well as the rest of the Muses for more inspiration using this sketch:
