Welcome to the Verve's April Diva Inspirations Blog Hop! The fabulous Diva Inspirations team is here to start your month off right with a little Verve inspiration!
I used this week's Mojo Monday sketch as my jumping off point. I love making round cards, so I decided to use my Grand Circle Nestabilities to create my card base and layers.
I stamped polka dots from Bountiful Backgrounds on the Blush Blossom circle in Cameo Coral, then sponged and distressed the edges. I decided the circle background needed a little something extra, so I cut a smaller circle out of vellum and embossed it with the Kassie's Brocade embossing folder. I stitched it to the coral piece, then matted that onto a Kraft scalloped circle card base.
The main image panel is one of my favorite verses, which happens to be the stamp set name, Jeremiah 29:11. I stamped it in Versamark ink and embossed it in black. After cutting the panel out with my Labels 17 Nestabilities, I sponged the edges with Baja Breeze ink, matted it with a hand-cut black piece, then added some glitter. Some Zva Creative bling came next, then I popped the main image up with foam dimensionals.
Baja Breeze Seam Binding was perfect for a little bow across the top, and I added a Soft Sky banner strip across the bottom. The finishing touch is a resin flower I made, dyed with Copic Ink refills to match.
I hope you enjoyed my card...I know the rest of the Divas have some breathtaking eye candy for you! Check out their fabulous blogs listed below and you just might win some Vervey goodness of your very own!
