Are you missin' me yet???

Yeah, I'm missin' you, too!! I don't have anything new to post, but I wanted to stop by and say hi and thanks for all the sickie-poo hugs. We have all been miserable, between allergies and any other sort of congestion you can imagine, but hopefully we're on the uphill swing.

I also have had some questions about moving, and I wanted to let you all know the great news...we are staying!! It is just one more in the long list of God's miracles in my life, but still no less miraculous. Packing was extremely painful, and I'm so thankful that I don't have to continue that right now. I will, however, be de-cluttering and having a big garage sale, which will definitely include a big crafty sale, so I'll keep you posted about that. I am ready to get rid of some things that haven't been touched in 4 years! If any of you have suggestions or websites to recommend about de-cluttering, feel free to share, k? I'm also going to slowly do some redecorating, so I'll post before and after pics, if you're interested.

The craft cave is currently filled to the brim with random things, and my desk is a horrible mess. That's a task for next week, so unfortunately, no crafty goodness until that gets rectified. Don't give up on me, though...I shall return...cause there's a fabulous Verve release coming up! *grin*

Anyway, feel free to leave me a note...tell me what you're up to or leave me an organization tip, ok? I'd love to hear from ya. Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

I usually lurk, but am coming out today to say hello. Great news that you don't have to move :) I hope you are all on the mend - you've had quite a time the last few months.
To help you declutter, check out your local Freecycle group. It is a Yahoo group that you join (choose the one closest to you from Freecycle.org), post items that you want to give away, and people will come and pick them up. I have decluttered for an upcoming move using this and it has been great - especially since you don't have to haul the goods anywhere!

All the best to you and yours, Shannan.

A cute site for starting the big task of organizing and decluttering is www.flylady.net It's kind of goofy and a very BIG site with LOTS of info to get you started. I don't use ALL her hints/advice, but there is a lot there that is really useful! Good luck!

Hey Shannan, I'm so glad your back on your blog. I don't know if I would have the strength to bother blogging with this terrible loss you and your family have had. It just goes to show, how strong you can become in the face of tragedy. I was really, really worried about you, and I hope your doing ok. By the way, I'm shopgirl06 on the Papertrey forum and Shopping Diva on Splitcoast, so feel free to pm me if you want to talk. I love your blog, and your always so inspiring. Sending big hugs your way.

Shannon,

You will be in my thoughts and prayers. I haven't been to your site in a while and had no idea. I'm so sorry to hear about your husband. I do understand the pain of losing a loved one as I lost my 4 1/2 year old son last June to cancer. You have my deepest sympathy. Take care, Alicia

Shannan... I'm so delighted that you don't have to move, on top of all of the difficult things that you've had to deal with. It's so good to hear from. I pray you continue to gather strength, and that soon you will feel a little more mojo! Take and take it easy!

Yeah, Shannan! Nothing better than staying, but cleaning out will feel so good. I need some help in that department, myself, so I'm not of help with ideas. Just keep plugging...slowly, but surely! Glad you are all beginning to feel better.

My best organing tip is to manke Peyton come over to do it. I'm still waiting for her to do my pantry and I've been here since September - maybe next week when they come to visit ;-)

Dear Shannan - I'm so happy you don't have to move. The only tip I can offer is to do one room at a time (don't even think about the whole project). It always feels so good to get the clutter out. Please know that you and your family remain in my prayers. God will see you through all of this and is with you every step of the way. You are loved on here, so please also know that we are always anxious to see what you have created. HUGS to you.

Hi Shannon! Praising the Lord with you as you feel the relief of not disrupting your nest with a move! God must've wanted you to declutter though, that's a ton of work, but always worth it in the end.

I look forward to getting to know you better and sharing crafting!

Hugs to you!
