Joy to the fishes in the deep blue sea...Joy to you and me...

Hi there, y'all! Happy Sunday! We're just hanging out today, in fact, I just noticed that my boys went outside, leaving me to watch Sponge Bob, which I have been doing for the last 20 minutes or so, and laughing at the jokes. Dude, what is up with that? The show is very funny, but mostly I'm just too lazy to get up and find the remote. *wink*

Anywho, I did a little stamping the other night and have a Verve card to show you. Julee inspired me the other day to pull out some "vintage" Verve stamps, seeing that we're celebrating 2 years this month, so I decided to do the same. See what you think.

I chose this week's Mojo Monday sketch to start with, and pulled out some Fancy Pants paper from their Arctic Chill Collection from last year. LOVE LOVE LOVE the colors in this, and I'm so glad I bought extra to hoard! I knew I wanted to use Winter Wonder (the Remixed clear version, although I still have the rubber one)...I love this set. And I'm still in love with that scripty font, Julee, so don't think I have moved on.

I wanted my circle to be a little bigger than the ones in the set, so I pulled out the circle image from Just for You and stamped it in Taken with Teal on white cardstock. I stamped the circle again on a post-it-note, and cut out the inside to create a mask. Then I stamped different snowflakes from Winter Wonder in Marigold Morning and Purely Pomegranate, stamping off each one first, then stamping the lighter image onto my white cardstock. Then I stamped the Joy to the World in Versafine Onyx Black inside the circle. I decided to cut out the inside circle, so I used my Nestabilities, cut it out, then popped it up over the outside circle, stamped in Versafine Black. That one was cut by hand, cause I kinda messed up with the Nesties. *wink*

The rest is pretty simple! I cut a square of Taken with Teal cardstock, matted it with black, and stitched it to the striped paper. The striped paper was matted with black and stitched to the white card base layer, which I wanted to keep plain and simple. After matting that with black, I tied a pretty little bow with some May Arts satin ribbon from my stash. I'll probably go back and add some sparkle, but I really love this...it's sooo my colors!

Anywho, just thought I'd share this with you. I am so blessed to celebrate my 2nd year with Verve and Julee...I never thought when I began this hobby that I'd find such a loyal, sweet, and encouraging friend, and I'm so lucky to be on this journey with her. Happy Anni-Verve-sary, Julee, and thanks for letting me tag along for the ride!

Oh, and don't forget...Sneak Peeks start Tuesday on the Verve Blog...you're gonna love 'em!! And you might want to keep an eye on the Verve Forum this week...just sayin'...*wink*
