But ev'ry time I see your face, I get all choked up inside...

Happy Friday, everybody! How was your week? I tell you what, I'm so happy it's Friday! Do y'all have any fun plans for the weekend? We're just going to hang out and clean the house, but I do plan on sneaking over to my local scrapbook store to check out the new goodies sometime over the weekend. *wink*

So, by now you know the drill...it's Bellariffic Friday! This week, our sketch was brought to us by Paulabella.
Hmmm...it looked easy enough...but I found myself totally stumped by the small rectangles, which I was certain were sentiments. Here's what I came up with:

And to top off the trouble with the sketch, for some God forsaken reason, I decided to use purple...which I NEVER use! Makes for a very interesting (and long) stamping session, I'll tell ya that much! I started by stamping Addy 'tude is a Cupcake Diva in Memento Black on Bella's Bestest Paper and coloring her with Copic Markers. Then I cut and embossed the image using my Rectangle Nestabilities and added a teensy black mat. I chose 2 patterned papers from Memory Box from my stash (I have no idea what collection they're from, sorry!), and matted those in black for my base layers. I did some crazy stitching around the edges and mounted the base layers to my 5 1/4" square card base. There's a black strip running across the seam of the 2 papers that you can't quite see, and it's punched with the Dotted Wave edger punch. I wanted some ribbon there, but I decided on some white May Arts lace, and I gathered and stitched it to the base layer, then adhered some Grape Juice baubles across the center using Zip Dry glue.

Then I mounted my main image onto the card with 2 layers of dimensionals and added the Here's to You sentiment to the top left. Then I added the Cupcake Diva sentiment (comes with Addy), cut with a teeny Labels Four Nestability die. To finish off the card, I covered Addy's glasses with Diamond Glaze, blinged up her necklace and earrings with Diamond Stickles, and puffed up the cupcake tops with Liquid Applique. Whew! Yep, it took me forever, but I'm pretty happy with how she turned out. Whatcha think?

After all that yapping, I bet you're ready for some pictures! So check out all the eye candy from the Babes and the Sistahood on Emily's Blog, k? She might even have a fun announcement for ya, too, so go say hi! I hope you have a wonderful weekend...see y'all later! MWAH!
