Viva las vegas with your neon flashin'...And your one armbandits crashin'...

Happy Monday, you guys! I hope your week has started off great. I've been stamping up a storm today, so I thought I'd show you some of my Verve creations.

The first card I created uses the Comfort Plain Jane. This card came from supplies already on my desk...would that be considered resourceful or lazy? Let's go with resourceful. *grin*
This paper from October Afternoon has been calling out from my stash for the last few days, so I decided to use it on this card. I stamped the Comfort stamp in Chocolate Chip Craft ink on Neenah Classic Cream cardstock, then embossed it with my Oval Nestabilities. Before I removed the die, I sponged the oval with Marigold Morning and Close to Cocoa ink, leaving a border around the edge. Then I layered it on a Chocolate Chip oval cut with a larger die. I cut the patterned paper to 3 3/4" x 5", then matted it with a Chocolate Chip piece, then sponged and stitched around the edges. On the corner, I attached the felt flower and leaves from Jillibean Soup (called Bean Seeds...how cute!) with a brad, then glued a brown Swarovski crystal to the top of the brad. The DP panel and sentiment are popped up on foam dimensionals. Super easy!

The next card I made was for the Viva la Verve January week 3 sketch challenge. Amber challenged us to use a twist of pink on this one...which you know was sooo hard for me...*wink*
I worked from the bottom up on this card, and first up was a panel of Kraft cardstock, sponged with Close to Cocoa ink and matted on Chocolate Chip cardstock. Then I cut a piece of Pink Pirouette cardstock (so addicted to this color!) and sponged the edges as well. After I matted it with white cardstock, I stitched it to the Kraft panel using a large zig-zag stitch. Then I cut out the Chocolate Chip center panel and punched the edge with my SU Scalloped Edge punch. I decided to do a little Emboss Resist on the circles, so I stamped the small solid flower from the Meditations set in Versamark on Pink Pirouette cardstock, then embossed it with Clear Detail embossing Powder. After cutting the circles out with my Nestabilities, I colored in and around the flowers using Regal Rose reinker and my SU Blender Pen. Looks pretty cool if I do say so! I added some more brown-ish Swarovski Crystals, this time to the flower centers, and popped the circles up on dimensionals on the white center panel. The finishing touch was a little sentiment from the Sweet Valentine set, done in a little banner style a la Anna Wight. I'm really happy with this one...especially how the pink pops out next to the Kraft paper. Love this sketch, Amber!

Well, that's it for me today, folks! I'm off to clean up a little and work on some projects for upcoming Copic Classes. Hope you have a wonderful evening!
