It's an age-old story of life, there are those depending on one brave soul...

Hey yall! I will be posting my Jacksonbelle Tuesday challenge card soon, but until I do, here's a few pics to entertain you.

My friend Carole posted pictures of her stamp room a while back, exposing us messy crafters with less than perfect rooms. Well, mine is quite atrocious today, and I thought I'd let you have a peek, just to see that not everyone has a fantastic, gorgeous, perfectly organized room. Although I try, it just doesn't happen.

I am warning you...it's not for the faint of heart. NOT KIDDING! Are you ready? Here's my desk.
Yes, I'm quite aware that you can't see the top of the desk. My desk actually used to be a kitchen table. When we moved, it didn't fit in our dining room, so it got a makeover and is now my stamp desk. It's very sturdy and has lots of room along the back, you know, for random junk.

And here's the space to the right of my desk.
On the floor is my cardstock scrap storage, which is a plastic tub filled with ziploc baggies. Not very nice looking, but it's cheap and it works! Then in the cubes, I have more cardstock, patterned paper, ribbon (lots and lots), embossing powder, adhesive, and random inks.

And here's my sewing machine on top of more cubes housing random things.
The pile to the left is the bulk of my patterned paper (it seems taller in person), and then my background stamps all the way to the left. The stacking containers on the right are full of alterables, o-wires for the bind-it-all, and more random things. Apparently I have lots of random things...maybe it's time to purge!

Ok, so don't judge me, just wish me luck. If I'm not back in 6 hours, come in after me, ok? *grin*

LOL! So glad I'm not the only one who creates among piles, and piles, and piles of things. Thanks for sharing your space!

Okay my room looks like that yet I still can't produce the awesome creations you do! :) You need to post something with your bind-it-all - mine's barely out of the box! Kim

Next time I'll heed your warning. My head still hurts from where I smacked it on the floor when I fainted ;)

all i can say is heheheheh! okay, i whine a lot because i DO NOT have a stamp room, studio, craft room...whatever...i have a KITCHEN. and i have stuffed squirreled away everywhere (but mostly in the kitchen). anyhooo...because we also eat at the kitchen table i am forced to clean it off every day before supper. now i admit...there are times when the boys ask if they can eat in their room and i pretend to be miffed, but secretly, i'm thinking...oh good...i can just push my stuff off to the side and only have to make room for the hubs and me! good luck in there, eh!

OMG Shannan, I posted a pic on Sunday, because my room was so disgustingly messy, to me. Sistah, you win though! Wow, oh WOW, you win! LOL

Well, I don't think it's THAT bad -- at least your furniture/storage is very matchy (unlike mine)! It definitely has potential to look fabulous, and I cannot ever see mine getting from here to there... LOL!

I am SO happy to see a messy room. I have been scouring all my mags, books and the internet looking for ideas, because Friday we are moving to a new (old) house and I will have a real craft room - I won't have to occupy the dining room!!! Right now I have dumped off all my stamps (I wouldn't dare trust them to the movers), and paper, embellishments, etc. The room is 11x20, and I am afraid I won't have enough space! There are 9 big windows, double french doors and only 8 feet of wall space. I don't have to share it, so I'm not complaining. I just don't know how I'm going to set it up yet. I've thought more about that than I have where to put our bed or couch!!! Any suggestions would be gladly received!!!

I think creative ideas come from stamp rooms like yours and mine!! Mine looks like yours. I am so envious of the neat and tidy ones. I get mine that way and when I start making cards it soon looks normal again!!!!LOL

Te he he!!!!! LUV IT! So happy I am not the only "mess". I am known as the constant organizer.......and always known to say "it's here somewhere" and bite my tongue every time. Problem with organizing is that I can't remember where I moved things to.....but am gettin there.
Thanx for sharin!!!!

I didn't think it was possible, but I lurve you even more now!

Yeah, that's kinda how my stampin' room looks too ... you might be just a tad more organized, though.

A clean desk is the sign of a dirty mind ... or somethin' like that.

I am so relieved to know that others have piles of stuff on their floors. Although by now yours is probably all neat and tidy.

Heehee my room does get this way at times, although I don't have misc piles. I see you have the same purple bag addiction as I do. :)

I'm not feelin' bad now....although I don't see quite as many purple bags at your house as I see at mine!

Thank you, thank you, thank you--I feel so much better about my own messy craft room. I clean it regularly, but it never seems to stay that way. Thanks for sharing & good luck. Remember a messy desk is the sign of creative genius--the work you post clearly demonstrates this.

Why oh why would you ever want to leave this or clean it up? You know exactly where everything is! I am jealous. Wish I had a room!

Hurray! Somebody who's not perfect either. I love your craft room. It looks like a normal person crafts there. Thanks for daring to show us your real life.
