I'm safe up high, nothing can touch me...

Hey yall, Happy Thursday! I hope your week is going great so far. I have had some good stamping time, so I have another Verve card to show you today! This week's SCS Sketch Challenge was calling my name, so I decided to play.

I was thrilled when Julee showed us this Jeremiah 29:11 set...it is one of my favorite verses and I am sooo happy to have it in Verve style. The size was perfect for the sketch, I just turned the layout on its side. Whatcha think?
Since I've been working with pinks so much, I thought I'd give myself a break and play with some different colors. My Ski Slope designer paper from the SU Holiday mini was calling my name, so I pulled out some Baja Breeze cardstock and went to work. This card came together in about 30 minutes (a total record for me!) and I'm super happy with how it turned out. I found a really easy way to layer the scalloped edges, too! First I cut my DP to size and used the scalloped edge punch. Then I took a larger strip of Classic Cream cardstock and punched the edge of it. Then I just adhered the DP to the cream layer and trimmed the excess off the sides and created a thin mat on the top. All lined up and super easy! The ribbon is from May Arts, and the pearl flatbacks are from Stamping Bella.

Well, that's about it for me today. I am having lunch with a girlfriend and delivering some class projects to Stamp Asylum, so stay tuned for those soon! The next class is Copic 2 on Feb. 28th. I've also been working on Valentines for the boys' classmates so we'll show you those when we finish! (um, today!) Have a wonderful day!

I love the colors & the sketch is something I am going to have to follow. Question...what size of card do you generally make? I find the 4.25 x 5.5 isn't giving me much room to do stuff. How do you make it all fit? Thanks.
