And if all my dreams come true...I'll be spending time with you...

Yes, now you'll be singing that song all day. ;) Sorry! I do have something fun to share today...no, you have the right blog! I know...I scrapped!! YAY ME! It has been a super long time since I did a scrapbook page, but this one came together (almost) painlessly.

I created this for the Verve Project Parade for the "Kid at Heart" theme. I immediately thought of creating a scrapbook page, so I set out to find a photo that spoke to me. This one of Caleb (my 8 yo) was perfect!
See? Aren't you proud of me?? *grin* I'll try not to hurt myself as I pat myself on the back.

This is a pretty simple little page measuring 6" square. I embraced some white space, see? Keeping my layout clean and simple, I cut a white square to 5 1/2" square and stamped the row of hearts from the Hundred Hearts set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The center hearts are colored with a my R29 Copic Marker. I then stamped the sentiment from the same set in Tuxedo Black ink in the top right corner.

After looking at it for a while, I decided to add a little vertical interest on the left side, so I cut three strips of ribbon to 5 1/2" and adhered them to the page. I couldn't completely embrace the white space, so I took a circle stitching template and pierced a half circle (or maybe it's a 1/4 circle?) from the ribbon to the row of hearts. The photo and a mat were cut with Nestabilities Label 1 dies, and I mounted them both on foam dimensionals and placed them in the left corner. The final step was a 6" square black panel as my mat.

I hope you enjoyed my little scrappy-ish project today. If you want to play along with us in the Project Parade, there's still time! Check out all the details on the Verve Blog. Hope you have a fabulous Monday!
