that is so sweet. A very special day for you both. It truly is fantastic that you're both able to stay in eachother's life. What wonderful gifts you've given to your Julianna.

I too am a birth mom and was reunited when she was 18. At that time she has a one year old daughter. My grand daughter will be 19 next month. and I was in the delivery room for my grandson who was 15 last month. Its been an odd ride for sure. A lot of bumps along the way. At least you will always know Julianna is fine. (that name made me look---a whole other adoption story in my life relating to that name---long story)

Julianna--happy birthday! 10 is so much fun. double digits! enjoy your special day and special moms.

What a beautiful poem...it totally made me cry. I think of the tremendously difficult decision it was for the birth mother of my daughter to make, and I'm thankful every day of my life for that decision. I don't know if my daughter will ever meet her, but she is always in my heart, though I never met her myself. Adoption is just something that involves so much love, I just can't contain it sometimes. God Bless you for making a decision out of love and bless her for being in your life in some way. What a gift. I am so happy for both of you. Remember, you truly are someone else's miracle.

Happy Birthday to beautiful Julianna! What a lucky girl to have such an unselfish and loving person as her birth mother. This might sound funny since I've never "met" you, but I have such respect for you, Shannan!! Hope Julianna's birthday was wonderful!!
